LOUISA CHASE

Artist Biography

Born in West London Louisa grew up in the rural fenlands of Lincolnshire in the UK.

From a creative artisan and musical family Louisa was immersed in dance, music and creativity as a child.

​

Since 2004 Louisa has lived in Aotearoa New Zealand where she trained in Counselling and Psychotherapy, then began a long immersive exploration into the healing practices, traditions and stories both of her native Britain and of indigenous cultures from around the world. 

​

Her choice of materials is influenced by years of working in environmental conservation. 

​

Since April 2022 she has once again been living in the UK (based in Lincoln) and is about to complete the Advanced Diploma in Art and Creativity (Level 7) via distance learning with The Learning Connexion, Wellington, New Zealand.
